Are the Tundra rock sliders able to be installed without drilling the frame if only used as a step and light duty protection? If so would there be chattering or vibration noise from not being completely bolted on?
A

You could do this at your discretion, but with the weight of the slider and the Tundra we don't really recommend it.

You said its 155 lbs for the weight of the sliders? Does each weigh 155lbs or its a combined weight? I ordered Rock sliders for my 2020 Tundra. Hopefully I can get it by March.

That weight is for a pair of sliders.

Will these fit on an 07 regualar cab long bed? I think they should because the wheelbase is the same. Thanks!
A

We have only tested them with Crew Max and Double Cab. We assume the frame on the longbed single cab is different.

Can these sliders be used as a jack point, since they should be able to support the weight of the truck, right?
A
12/27/2021, 9:14:33 AM
Correct, yes they can be used as a jack point.

Will these work with Valhalla theft deterrent plates on a double cab?
A
08/15/2022, 3:42:54 PM
You may have to mount the cat plates underneath the slider mounts depending on where everything lines up. We haven't tested mounting them together.

Are the lengths the same for the Double Cab and the Crew Cab? I have a Double and would like to protect the bed as well as the cab. I'm thinking maybe with some modification to the rearmost frame mount I can make it work if the Crew Cab is longer. If the Crew is longer, what is the length. I see in another question the Double Cab is 95". Thanks.

Overall length would be the same for both the Double cab and the Crewmax options.

The original set of sliders I received were welded together incorrectly. While victory corrected the mistake and delivered the correct product (29 days after the original delivery date mind you) No one from victory or jcr reached out to apologize for the mistake or add any discount or incentive for the trouble. I agreed to the original lead time coming from a fabrication shop myself, but I felt if I was a manager or something I would reach out to customers that recieved blatantly wrong parts. Oh well. I had planned on ordering the strike bumper for my tundra as well but now I'm not sure jcr will be able to assemble and deliver the correct product in a timely manner. The sliders installer as promised and the instructions are clear-ish. On the second gen tundra it was required to drop the fuel tank a few inches to reach the very back mount on the driver side slider. Not a big deal for a veteran tech but not a step mentioned in the instructions which are written for a 3rd gen. The powder coating looks good and quality minus one spot where the powder coating seems to have bubbled or dripped. I have about a half dollar sized area where the paint didn't adhere to the slider, it's on the bottom so I said screw it and installer then anyway. The welds appear solid minus one spot where the welder obviously started a weld and then stopped and restarted. The rear mount on my driver's slider has a mistake when the tab was cut, theres an obvious area where th plasma was deflected and went off of square leaving a weird seam/gap on the plate that is 100% a mistaken cut. It's right next to a weld and I'm disappointed the welder would assemble and send a product to paint with the mistakenly cut tab. It was probably $3 to cut the plate out and shouldve been cut again or replaced. At this point I'm too fed up to even mention it to jcr tech.
I dealt with Chris in the technical department who overall was on top of things but was hard to get ahold of for updates on the replacement product. Even when I left messages with other employees requesting a call from Chris to update me on my replacement sliders I wouldn't receive an update or any sort of communication.
Overall the product is a 4 star item. The slider begins too far back and ends before the rear wheel well, which wasn't immediately evident in the pictures. Functionally the body mount and quarter panel is still vunerable in these areas, an area in which the demello slider covers.
Welding 4 stars
Paint 3.5 stars
Instructions 4 stars
Customer service 3 stars
I was hoping victory would throw in a hoodie or coupon for future purchases for my trouble but they didn't. No one apologized or seemed concerned a slider was assembled completely upside down nor that they sent me two sliders both for the passenger side. Overall I'm left with a disappointed feeling. While the product looks nice installed the trouble and time consuming nature of the whole thing makes me want to take my future business elsewhere.
Note From Victory 4x4: Austin, we are VERY sorry for the hassles and for a product leaving our building that wasn't perfect. We'd actually love to offer you a discount on a future product to make it up to you. We will get tech support in contact with you ASAP.
