Q murdoc955 • 03/24/2020, 9:48:44 AM Can this be mounted horizontally?I would like to mount this on my Prinsu cab rack with my MaxTrax and RotoPax on edge next to my RTT.Has anyone done this?
A 03/25/2020, 3:11:33 PM Yes it can be mounted horizontally, but we aren't sure how it would work with your specific rack rail spacing.
Q Patrick J Lewis • 04/09/2020, 2:38:30 AM Can this be mounted somewhere on the back of the rigd tire swing? I also have a c4 ladder with a 2-gallon rotopax fuel container as a possible mounting base.
A 04/17/2020, 5:09:59 PM They are meant to be pretty universal, but you may have to drill holes to get it to work with accessories other than ours.
Q Dunny • 06/03/2020, 11:44:24 AM Can this be mounted on the 2nd gen Tacoma stock bed rails???
A 06/03/2020, 4:22:33 PM They probably wouldn't be very secure in that orientation.
Q mark • 07/01/2020, 5:56:18 PM How do you mount the rotopax to the carrier? I have the standard rotopax mount and the Universal mounting plate and the bolt holes do not line up on either.
A 07/07/2020, 2:36:11 PM The pax mount should directly bolt to the bracket.
Q Dephew Cubelo • 11/11/2020, 7:43:12 PM What is the product dimensions?
A 11/12/2020, 5:44:39 PM Roughly 26" x 13"
Q Kire Oltim • 01/22/2021, 6:23:22 PM Can this bracket be mounted onto the dual jerry can holder. I see the 90deg lip, hoping that the holes will correspond to your dual jerry can holder for maxtrax or a propane bottle holder?
A 01/25/2021, 12:06:24 PM They were not designed as such, although they may fit by drilling some holes.
Q Peter Rosenberg • 01/28/2021, 2:36:14 AM Can this be mounted to the 5th Gen 4runner hatch ladder?
A 02/02/2021, 12:30:16 PM We don't recommend that much weight on the hatch ladder while driving.
Q Adam Bodkins • 02/09/2021, 9:46:33 PM With using through bolts would you be able to mount 2 4gal rotopax on each side of the bracket ? Essential sandwiching the plate between two rotopax mounts on top and bottom ?
A 02/15/2021, 12:52:47 PM In theory it would work, but since our mount it designed to mount one mount only, you would probably have to drill some holes to offset the other pack mount lower or higher to bolt them both on.
Q Mitch Klann • 02/26/2021, 1:53:16 PM Can you specify which rotopax mount is used to attach the 4 gallon rotopax to your plate? Also, it looks like the Maxtrax is mounted to the plate with bolts and wingnuts? Is that correct?
A 03/01/2021, 3:13:17 PM You can use the Standard or locking Pack Mount, yes. The mount doesn't include hardware to mount traction boars, but yes; you can just use carriage bolts, some spacers, and wing nuts.
Q Mitch Klann • 03/01/2021, 10:09:34 PM In order to properly support the 4 gallon rotopax on the rotopax mount, does it require 1 or 2 pack mounts? I got the rotopax and it has locations for 3. Thanks.
A 03/05/2021, 9:52:24 AM It looks like the page was incorrect, sorry for the confusion. The 4 gallon RotopaX has a much wider mounting pattern. Does not fit 3 or 4 gallon RotopaX (1 - 2 gallon will work). Compatible with any FuelpaX, 1 - 4.5 gallon.
Q Benjamin • 03/09/2021, 8:45:18 PM Could I mount this horizontally on your roof rack?
A 03/16/2021, 3:46:53 PM It wasn't designed with that in mind.
Q Desmond Hooks • 04/02/2021, 2:48:07 PM How are you mounting traction boards? I have bought two separate brands and none of the holes line up.
A 04/12/2021, 1:13:17 PM The holes are laid out for Maxtrax. Please contact our customer service team for assistance.
Q Bill • 04/06/2021, 11:10:18 AM Can you mount two of these side by side on one of the swing outs for a rear bumper?
A 04/12/2021, 1:13:17 PM We have not tested that.
Q Dave • 01/31/2022, 4:25:15 PM What is the bolt hole spacing where mounting to the swing out itself?
A 02/04/2022, 10:09:21 AM 4" hole spacing.
Q Darin • 03/12/2022, 2:26:15 AM Can you use this solely as a maxtrax mount and mount it with a single jerry can holder?
A 03/16/2022, 12:04:55 PM Yes
Q Rob Schoenthaler • 03/19/2022, 9:35:31 PM What is the length and width of the bent section with the three holes?
A 03/30/2022, 10:52:36 AM 14"x2.75"
Q KAbraham • 04/17/2022, 1:09:20 PM Do the MAXTRAX mounting pins work for this setup? Or only carriage bolts and wing nuts setup?
A 04/27/2022, 12:01:31 PM MAXTRAX pins will work also.
Q Vinnie • 02/10/2023, 11:25:37 AM In that picture that looks exactly like a 4 gallon rotopax, is it not?
A 02/14/2023, 4:18:03 PM That is a fuelpax: https://rotopax.com/4-5-gallon-fuelpax.html?category_id=31
Q HuggyBear • 07/04/2023, 11:08:17 AM Is there a way that 4 MAXTRAX could fit on 1 side & 2 water RotoPaX on the other side?
A 12/01/2023, 10:40:18 AM You can mount 4 traction boards, you'd just need longer hardware to accommodate the added thickness.
