Communication is key, and this is a great place to mount a HAM, GMRS, or CB antenna to your Toyota Tacoma.
Designed to use 3/8 hole, thick NMO mounts like the Laird Technologies Part #: MABTO or the PCTEL Part #: BMATM3-NC, among others.
Laser cut from .190 thick aluminum, uncoated to allow for an electrical ground. Must use an NMO style antenna.
Works on either side of the vehicle.
Ships free USPS.
Antennas emit radiation. You are responsible for making sure that your setup stays within safe levels. 21+ Tacomas require the bracket to be mounted between the hood hinge and the hood. This will space the hood up slightly.

Are you limited as to the length or type of the antenna you can mount to the bracket? The reason for my question is that it would appear that when the hood opens, I would think the antenna would come into contact with the windshield? Thank you
A
04/02/2021, 1:17:54 PM
An antenna of any length does not hit the windshield.

So no concerns for thread engagement of the factory bolt into the hood by reducing that engagement by 0.190"? Hard to tell by the video how many turns the bolt engagement there was remaining. Thanks.
A
06/04/2021, 10:30:55 AM
No issues.
Q
Stephen K • 06/21/2021, 3:51:53 PM
Installed easily on 2021 TRD Pro, bracket itself only took about 5 minutes. Have you come up with a solution to the non-perpendicular angle? It's canted forward by 7-10 degrees, but I would prefer the antenna to be perpendicular. Thank you.
A
06/25/2021, 12:04:58 PM
You could leave it as is, or put a slight bend in it by hand once it's mounted.

Can you post links to where to purchase these Laird Technologies Part #: MABTO or the PCTEL Part #: BMATM3-NC? After searching for a while even on the Laird site I am not finding them.
A
11/05/2021, 10:43:17 AM
Search for 'Laird Technologies MABTO' or 'PCTEL BMATM3-NC' online and you should find them. They don't seem to be directly on Laird's website.
Q
Billie • 01/08/2022, 5:08:55 PM
You mention needing to solder an NMO base on the bracket for GMRS radios. Can you elaborate, please?
A
01/12/2022, 11:00:59 AM
Some of the NMO mounts need to have the cable soldered to them to terminate, some come with the cable installed. This really just affects how you route the cable.

22 Tacoma antenna mount. Description states must be placed between hood and hinge Why? Can’t mount to modify to fit under hinge
A
05/08/2023, 4:09:06 PM
Because of the design of the hinge.

How noticeable is the hood gap on the 21+?
A
08/04/2023, 2:56:30 PM
Not very noticeable unless you are specifically looking for the gap. You'd only be raising that corner by 3/16.
Q
Orestes • 08/03/2023, 3:40:29 PM
Does the bracket make the antenna sit at a forward leaning angle, backward leaning angle, or will the antenna mount have a balanced 90 degree angle?
A
08/04/2023, 10:43:47 AM
Very slight angle forward
Q
Roger • 09/06/2023, 11:46:18 PM
Q: for a 2023 Tacoma, confirm that the bracket must be placed BETWEEN the hinge and the hood?
Q: and the antenna will not be vertical but will lean forward slightly?
A
10/20/2023, 12:30:16 PM
Yes, 21 and newer models will need to be installed between the hinge and the hood. The antenna will have a slight rake once installed.

What an Ingenious idea! I really didn't want to drill any holes in the roof of my new Tacoma, and fender lip type mounts are too flimsy. This bracket for a NMO mount works great! Like others have said make sure to get a "thick" NMO mount for this bracket. It's also easy to remove the antenna and go through the carwash with this setup.
W. Hock (Richmond , Va.) | March 28th, 2021
Price didn’t seem bad. So, worth a try. Installed one and noticed right away that the hood sat higher on that side. Messed with it some with and no change till I removed it. In stalled both for the heck of it, and they both raised the hood as to where the body lines did not match up as in stock form.
That said, after looking at the mount and seeing that they hit the plastic cowl below the windshield.. that is what was causing them to push up on the hood. Removed them and will try something different.
Note From Victory 4x4: Did you have the mount between the hood and the hood hinge or under it? It should not raise the hood at all if it's under the hinge. Please reach out to our tech support team and we can help troubleshoot the install.

This unassuming piece of bare aluminum fits well and provides a solid antenna mount. I found this item through Tacomaworld.com where detailed suggestions included antennas. My final setup works better than anticipated. I highly recommend this product.
Mark Tetlow | September 5th, 2020
Mount is perfect! Didn't want to drill for a roof mount with all the airbags in the truck.Mounting was easy! Only removed one bolt at a time. Started with the bolt closest to the front. Remove bolt, installed mount, snugged bolt, removed second bolt, slid mount over and installed second bolt. Didn't have to worry about hood moving. Used a Diamond Antenna "C213SNMO" NMO mount. Perfect. Also installed ground cable to the frame.

Good product what I was looking for. 5 star + great service on the phone and email even during Covid-19 shutdown
Robert Z (California) | March 4th, 2020
Mount fits perfectly on the hood of my 3rd gen Tacoma. I have a dual band antenna mounted on it and a SWR of 1.3-1.6 through all of my channels.
*** NOTE *** You will need to get a "Thick Mount" NMO to make this work properly. The center pin on a regular NMO mount will not stick through enough to contact the base of the antenna. I also ran a ground strap from the mount to a good ground in the engine compartment instead of grounding through the hood hinges and latch.
Mike Sullivan (Illinois) | December 26th, 2019
I have two of these mount on my Tacoma. A dual band vhf/uhf on the passenger side and a 10 meter on the driver’s side. Get good signals on both. Love that they are so discrete. Easy to install the mounts but I couldn’t install the nmo connector on the coax. Finally bought cable with the connectors attached and was able to get it through the firewall.
Note From Victory 4x4: Thanks for the review, glad you like the mounts!
