We have been in the overlanding scene before it was called overlanding. Our newest build is a 2012 GX460 (previously it was a GX470 and many others). We wanted a molle system to hold a fire extinguisher, compressor hoses, tools and a med kit. This seemed to fit the bill as we plan to use the rear shelf system for these panels (not yet released). The install was supposed to be quick and easy. However, there are quite a few issues that should be remedied. First, there is an issue with the bracket hanging from the third row seat "oh shit" handle. Please note that the original bolt is not long enough to catch the threads. We almost made a trip to ACE, however, after a more thorough inspection, we realized there is a protrusion on the rear that can be cut off with a razor to flatten out the back end. This will allow it to sit flush with the new bracket and reach the threads. Secondly, the attachment point for the "C" channel bracket is wayyyy off. I had to drill a new hole in the panel and provide a longer bolt. The original design put too much pressure on the bolt utilizing the spacer near the rear hatch. It also would not hit the original hole drilled from the factory. Perhaps we received an incorrect panel. After these adjustments, we were able to make it work. The design is nice, but it turned out to be a much longer install with the typical "customizing" we are used to when it comes to GX's. The only other downside is the panel does not fill the window space as well as the version made for the GX470 or other designs on the market. My guess is these are made for several vehicles and adapted as ordered.
Note From Victory 4x4: Hey Josh, we apologize for that bracket issue. They are specific to each model, so we aren't sure what is up. We'd be happy to help troubleshoot if you reach out to our tech support team.

I opted for just the passenger side(single panel) as I have an ICECO VL65 fridge on the left side on top of Dobinsons Drawers. I love the panel. I currently have a Molle/Velco tear-off Medic kit, a Milwaukee battery charger(for impact, driver, and chainsaw), and quick fists to hold my splitting ax. The panel was easy to install and worked great to get items organized and maximize the space. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a solid storage solution.

MOLLE panel arrived in great condition and with all needed hardware. The problem I ran into was watching the 460 installation video and assuming it would be roughly the same for my GX 470. This is not correct. There is a link to PDF instructions for the GX 470. READ THEM.
For someone who is a relative novice at working on car interiors the 470 installation is probably an order of magnitude more difficult. That being said, I didn't know what the heck I was doing, and I still managed to do it in 90 minutes, including a trip to the hardware store for a step drill bit (which you will need, assuming you don't own a 1/2" drill bit). You'll also need a trim removal kit, and in my case I had to break out my 1/2" impact wrench to get the 3rd row seatbelt bolt back in.
Overall the product is great quality, just like the other Victory products. I would suggest Victory do a video for the 470 installation as the GX 460 video doesn't accurately represent the level of effort required to install this item.

Purchased two units for my overland GX460. They are awesome! Love them! I have a 3,000 Watt inverter I was able to mount on it along with a 100ft extension cord, recovery gear, IFAK, miscellaneous tools and equipment. Since the Army has a new camo pattern (old was digital ACU, new is OCP/Scorpion and I'm Army reservist), I had to get all new OCP gear, so I used all my old ACU load-out MOLLE for these racks.
PRO's:
- People who've seen them love them and ask where I purchased them.
- Very easy install, about 15 minutes per side. Victory install YouTube video was great in getting them done quickly.
- Very solid feeling.
- Gets a lot of gear off the rear deck to allow space. Frees up the floor space for fridge, Pelican case of other camping gear, e.g.: chainsaw, maul, table, chairs, etc. Basically all my other overland gear that I don't keep in my rig all the time.
- Still allows for the third row seats to be used, albeit, with my load-out, these seats have to stay flat now.
I have a build thread on IH8MUD here: https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/r2m-2013-gx460-overland-build.1104719/
I will be posting photos of these racks mounted very soon.
CON's:
None that I've come across yet.
SUGGESTION:
How about a MOLLE rack that stretches across the top rear, maybe from left top grab handle to top right grab handle?
I could find a few more things to hang on that also!
Note From Victory 4x4: Thanks for the review and the suggestions!
