Rack sits 2.5" above the highest point of the roof (center point).
We recommend using paint protection film under the front and rear fairings, where they contact the vehicle. This will prevent dirt and debris from scratching the paint over time.

I love this roof rack! Lead time was as advertised however there was a blemish in the powder coating of one of the side rails probably about the size of a dime that I noticed when I pulled it out of the box. That is the reason for only 4 stars. Otherwise it was easy to set up and install and it’s a very solid roof rack. When driving it makes very little wind noise. I would recommend anyone to Victory and plan to make more purchases with them in the future.
Note From Victory 4x4: Sorry to hear about the powdercoat blemish but we are happy you like your rack.

The rack fit my 07 4runner beautifully following the roof lines and matching my OEM attachment points without any issues. Surprisingly quiet too. Some lateral stiffness could be added as it flexes if you compare to a basket or the OEM rack.
I give 4 stars because of the finish: a lot of blemishes on the powder coating and sharp edges from the laser cut covered by powder coating. It is aluminum so it won’t technically rust but still the corners could be deburred and the powder coating could improve.

Fairly Decent rack some of the aluminium could use refinement... The front does not perfectly follow the contour of our roof probably 10mm gap to left and right. Rear section folds were not precise leading to a oversize issue that required material grinding from the rear section and spacer washers on the bracket. Side rails seemed a little flimsy but once it was all screwed together I was happy. Hardware needed stronger bagging we lost some in shipping. I also took the precaution of putting loctite on the screws maybe this is overkill???
Overall it looks great happy with it sofar.

Super happy with my roof rack. But upon receiving there were a few spots that were damaged. Like gouges through the powder coat. I expected a higher quality powder coat Also may be something I didn’t do correctly but the front fairing doesn’t even come close to touching the body.
Note From Victory 4x4: Please contact us directly so we can help you with these issues. [email protected]

I’ve been running this rack for almost a year now it’s sturdy and reliable and works great with my Smittybilt Overlander XL gen 2 tent. My biggest complaint is the lack of lateral rigidity or dampening when it snows the rack vibrates so loud you have to raise your voice to have a conversation with your passenger. I contacted Victory4x4 and was asked to submit a video which I did. They came back and said they didn’t have a solution and to let them know if I figured something out. For the price I paid I would have appreciated more support. As winter approaches I will have to spend additional money to modify the rack and engineer a solution. I’m probably going to mount some aluminum angle brackets along the length of the underside of the extrusions. I estimate it will cost another $60+ dollars plus time to be able to drive without vibrations throughout the snowy Colorado winters. Next time I get a rack I will have to do more research and determine if other aluminum extrusion racks have the same problems. The rack is mounted to my 2004 4Runner Sport Edition 4WD.

I evaluated a few roof racks and landed on Victory for a couple reasons: competitive pricing no lead time (when I ordered) and great reviews around quality service and craftsmanship. Overall the rack is well built but because it’s made of aluminum it lacks rigidity. Taking it off road or in windy conditions the rack will flex. I also have an awning mounted to one side of the rack which adds to the torquing of the rack. The biggest complaint I have and is why I removed a star is that the front feet don’t sit snug or flush in the roof rain channels. Coupled with the previously mentioned torquing of the rack I’m having issues of the front feet constantly chipping my roof exposing to bare steel to the point where I’m starting to see small signs of rust.
Note From Victory 4x4: Hey Steve thanks for the review we will reach out to you to try and troubleshoot what is going on everything should be solid.

This roof rack is built very very well. You can just tell how everything fits so well there’s no barbs or unfinished cuts or a spot not hit by the powder coating. You couldn’t ask for better quality. It feels very sturdy and looks awesome. My only reason for not giving it a five star is how unbelievably expensive all the add ons are. Partly my fault for not checking before. It should not cost $200 to put a plate on the side to mount some water or fuel to. Besides that this thing is perfect
